Russia – Blockchain classes

Starting in March, the first course on blockchain technology will take place in the Phystechpark Business Development Hub, located next to the Institute of Physics and Technology, which facilitates the participation of students in organized courses. The program will include in particular the technical aspects of blockchain technology and less detail on how it can be used in business, aiming to familiarize students with organizational theory and blockchain architecture and includes practice with Ethereum-based applications.

It is the first such initiative in Russia, which aims to train developers in the basics of technology. Osnova, which owns Phystechpark, said:

On February 12, the Moscow Programmer School and the Phystechpark Metropolitan IT Hub signed an agreement to launch the” Introduction to Application Development on the Ethereum Block “.

The Moscow Programmer School will set up study materials, while Phystechpark will be responsible for recruiting experts and the course will be held for one semester.

Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of the Ethereum platform, will act as project consultant.

The director of the Moscow Programmer School, Sergei Shedov, said:

This program is unique for striding for two reasons. First, they will be able to study the latest developments in blockchain technology at a high technical level, accessible to only a few universities worldwide. For this reason, courses are open not only to students but also to graduates who continue their studies in technical universities. Second, the best course participants have the opportunity to apply what they have learned in practice through internship programs at Phystechpark companies, and have long-term access to exciting and highly paid jobs.

It is clear that Russia takes blockchain technology seriously – Herman Gref, the director of the largest Russian bank, Sberbank, recently said that technology will be adopted nationally in the next 8-10 years.
